I have a passion for dogs and grew up with 2 toy poodles in our family household. I understand the responsibility and attention that comes with housesitting a dog, especially a puppy. I have experience with sitting dogs, many of my family members have dogs whom I will sit if one is out of town, the longest I have watched a dog is up to 3 weeks. I unfortunately do not have a large yard for very active or large dogs to play which is why I prefer to sit smaller or medium size dogs, however I live in an area where there are plenty of opportunities for trails, dog parks, and I live about 10 minutes away from my parents who have a large yard. I understand a dog is a part of the family and have a schedule of their own, are dependent on a great amount of attention and care, and owners need to be comfortable for placing their family member in a caring and loving environment. I would encourage any owner to communicate with me the schedule and needs of their dog so I can do all that is in my power to make the dog comfortable in a new temporary space. I currently go to school online while my boyfriend works at home, therefore a dog will never be left for long periods of time unattended. My home is very clean, tidy, and organized. I also have a 6 year old, my boyfriends son, who is with us up to 4 days a week who would be present to entertain or play with any dog. If small enough, I will take the dog wherever I can, daily walks, and chances to get outside.
