If I could leave zero stars, I would. My experience with Brooke was a total nightmare. Brooke was negligent, incompetent, and made some serious errors in judgment; all of which led to the disappearance of my cat while he was in her care. She also demonstrated a real lack of maturity in handling the situation while my cat was missing. She left a window open in her apartment and lied to me about having other pets (two, large 50+ lb dogs) in the home. When I arrived to search the neighborhood for my cat, I discovered that not only did she have two dogs in her care, she was out walking with them while she was "looking" for my cat. As if a frightened cat is going to approach someone with two jumping, barking dogs. As I said, Brooke is clearly incompetent and totally untrustworthy. Maybe she is more comfortable looking after dogs than cats, I don't know; but I wouldn't trust any pet with her. Rover customer service was helpful and supportive during the incident, but Brooke made the bare minimum of effort to help find my cat. I am six months pregnant and had to take off work to spend the day walking all over her neighborhood handing out flyers in hopes that someone would spot him and call. Fortunately, a very kind neighbor spotted him that evening. My husband and I sat in the neighbor's backyard for three hours that night with his food, water, and bed; and he came back to us. I have never been more relieved in my life. Rover customer service checked in with us throughout the day and conducted an investigation of the incident. As I said, I think they did a good job of providing support. However, I believe that Brooke's account should be suspended - not because she made a mistake (though leaving a window open in a house with cats you're supposed to be keeping safe is a pretty huge mistake), but because - in addition to that mistake - she blatantly lied about having two additional pets in her home. It leads me to wonder what else she would lie about. I hope that Rover will do the right thing and prevent this from happening to other pet owners.

Brooke is an exceptionally conscientious and nurturing dog caregiver. She goes above and beyond to know your dogs personality and comfort level. She calms my dog and treats her with such love and kindness. I couldn't recommend Brooke highly enough.
