Pet care experience
I love animals! I worked as an intern in a veterinary clinic for several years in high school and have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. I am able to give medication even to the sneakiest of pups! I have lots of experience with very young puppies and high energy dog breeds, as well as big dogs and bully breeds. I try to stay active, so keeping up with and exercising energetic dogs and puppies is no problem! I’m also a dog training aficionado, so I can exercise your dog’s mind through play, training, and enrichment activities, while always maintaining the training you do at home through consistent commands and reinforcing your expectations for your dog’s behavior. I can also train puppies to walk well on a lead, if requested! As a graduate student at UC, I have a predictable schedule, so I will be available for advanced scheduling and regularly scheduled care that fits your needs. I can also provide basic grooming for your pets. I can't wait to meet your furry best friend!

Brooke was absolutely fabulous! This was my first time taking my Max to her so I was a bit nervous, of course. Brooke stayed in contact with me throughout the day, with details and photos, which made me feel much more comfortable. She paid lots of personal attention to Max to help make him more comfortable on his first time at her home. She even had practices in place should Max feel intimidated or anxious with any of the other, much larger, dogs she had that day. Thank you so much, Brooke! 💙🐾
Brooke is always extremely communicative, so we feel really comfortable leaving our dog with her. You can tell she is definitely a dog person and takes very good care of them.
This was our first time leaving our dog with Brooke while we were out of town, and she made the entire process so seamless and helped us feel so safe. Every day, she sent photos and an update about her (always specifically addressing my concerns such as how much my dog was eating) and sent photos. My dog looked SO happy and comfortable in the photos, and seemed to be behaving as though she was at home. We can’t say enough good things about Brooke and how happy we (and Millie) are to have found her!
Brooke is great! She communicates well and my dog seems very comfortable around her. Brooke is very warm and friendly which gives me reassurance that my dog is in safe hands. I have used her before and will definitely again. Highly recommend!

I have a 6’ high fenced-in yard, so your dog will always be safe and secure. I don’t leave dogs unattended in the yard, and if I need to go out while watching your dog, I can crate them if that is what they’re used to or make sure their environment is safe for free roaming! My home is dog-friendly and puppy-proofed. I have a very active young dog who loves to play, but if your dog doesn’t get along with her for any reason or needs a break from playing, I have multiple rooms in my home and lots of gates and enclosures to ensure your dog is safe and comfortable. While I do have two cats, they are always kept in a separate room, as they are only comfortable with my two dogs.

I’d like to know how your dog is with other dogs, whether playful, reserved, or skittish. I’d also like to know whether they are crate trained or prefer to free roam, and whether or not they have separation anxiety from being left alone. Also, please let me know if your dog is prone to resource guarding, food aggression, or reactivity. I always feed dogs separately from one another no matter what, but it’s helpful to know which dogs need more privacy to eat safely. Finally, let me know if your dog has any food allergies! Please note: I require a meet and greet with new dogs and owners before boarding for multiple nights. Meet and greets are free and generally take around half an hour.
A typical day
There are very calm neighborhoods and streets around my home that are perfect for nice long walks and great exercise. I’ll make sure your dog gets exercise at a level that is perfect for them.

Availability
I work from home most of the time, so I will be able to be with your pet all day and give them frequent potty breaks. I attend class a few times a week, but am never away from my home more than a few hours at a time. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate your dog’s usual routine so they feel comfortable. I can also take your dog for walks and play with them often!
