I hesitated on whether or not I even wanted to leave a review because I know it will be negative, but after arriving home after a 6 day trip today I unfortunately had to... We hired Brooke to do daily drop-ins for 2 cats for 6 days. We have interior cameras and pointed them out to her at the m&g, so she was aware. Over the course of 6 visits (6 days), Brooke only scooped litter boxes two times. After the 3rd visit and realizing she had only scooped boxes one time, I messaged her on the app to confirm what we were expecting from her. Brooke scooped boxes the next day, but did not on the last visit, leaving us to come home to 2 days worth of filled boxes. She was here 3 mins the day of her last visit, knowing we were returning home that evening and hired a sitter to ensure the cats were taken care of. She left open grocery bags of used litter in our trash can, causing the apartment to smell awful when we returned (at least tie up the bag!) Brooke struggled to fill cats water dishes and food every visit, causing one set of dishes to be bone dry when we got home. Rover cards were not properly filled out and on the last visit, she used a previous photo of the cat that she had taken during a diff visit. We had told her she didn’t have to stay the full 30 minutes, however long it was needed to get all tasks done (10-15 mins maybe), but 3 of her visits were less than 5 minutes long. If I wanted to just leave out extra food, water, and litter, why did I hire a sitter? One day she is seen on the cameras walking up to the cat, pulling her phone out and snapping a pic, and then walking away. She didn’t even TRY to socialize with the cat. Brooke did bring in a package and come every day so I suppose that’s a plus. I have reached out to rover support and am awaiting them to do an investigation to see if we can get a partial refund as we only received partial services. Maybe she does better with dogs, but I would not hire again.
