Pet care experience

Hello all my fellow animal lovers. Just a little about me, I have spent over a thousand hours volunteering for my local rescue, where I walked and fed hundreds of dogs. Friends know they can rely on me to provide exceptional care to their animals, animal pics included. I have also fostered neonatal kittens and have experience with puppies as well. I always treat the animals I take care of like my own. I have trained my own animals to do basic commands and some difficult commands. With my experience in rescue work, I have provided gentle correction of incorrect walking manners to many dogs.

Brooke did visits to my two dog while we were out of town. She not only came in to feed, cleanup, and let dogs out but she was able to teach the dogs commands of sitting, laying down, and paw shaking. Brooke was great and we hope to use her again soon!

As always, Brooke is on-time calm and professional. The pets absolutely adore her, and that is saying so much for a senior dog and kitten.

Brooke was wonderful with my pup and my cats! I met her before for a meet and greet with my Franklin and she’s incredibly intuitive to animals and very compassionate. She sent tons of pictures and a detailed update of her time here. Very happy to have found her! I’ll be booking her over and over!

Safety, trust & environment

I will care for your pets just as you normally do. As a parent of a dog with separation anxiety, I know that sticking to routines is so beneficial in lowering the stress involved with leaving. If I notice that there is extra stress, I find ways to distract and create a positive environment.

Information brooke a. would like to know about your pet

I think it is important to gather as much information as possible about your cat or dog. If there is any behavioral abnormalities, any special diet needed, any medication need with/without food, all of this is important. Through effective communication, I believe that your pet and I can have a positive experience regardless of the circumstances, as long as pertinent information is provided. If I am dog/cat sitting, please leave a list of instructions for both morning and night.

A typical day

Mental stimulation is the best for high-energy cats and dogs. I love to do fetch to let out their pent up energy. If they love to go to the park, we can go to the park. Training is also a great form of mental stimulation, especially for young dogs. If they are older and love to sit around, we can have relaxing time. FOOD, gotta love it. Dogs and cats sure do. Whether you feed your animals once or twice a day, I will prep it just the same as you do. If your dog/cat is a bit of a food diva, I can try hand feeding or adjusting to making them more comfortable.
