I have been taking care of dogs for as long as I can remember. My mother owned a successful local kennel and grooming salon when I was a kid. I’ve loved animals ever since I was young, and I spent as much time at my mother’s kennel as possible. When I wasn't spending time with the dogs at the kennel, I was spending time with my own furry friends at home. I gained a deep love and respect for the animals I was being raised around, and I wanted to learn everything I could about taking care of them. By the time I was 14 I was helping with daily operations and at 16, I started grooming, bathing, care taking, training the dogs at the kennel. But my favorite part of the job was playing with all the dogs! It’s been a while since I worked at my mother’s kennel, but I pet-sit for friends, family and clients all the time; many of them ask me to pet-sit often! I’m also building a portfolio as a pet care journalist. I do extensive research and interview experts for unique insights on animal care. I also have three very happy, healthy pets of my own: my boxer Charlie and my two cats, Louie and Lilah. My experience also includes caring for rodents, fish, certain breeds of snake, and bearded dragons. I’m more than happy to take on clients with these kinds of pets! Aside from years of experience and insider insight, I'd have to say what makes me most qualified to take care of your pet is what all of us on Rover have; I love spending time with animals and I would love to take my time to get to know and care for your pets as my own.
