Like many here, I grew-up in a very pet friendly family. In addition to our dog and two cats, our aunt trained service dogs, so we grew-up respecting animals as more than "just pets." I have not committed to having a pet of my own thus far, as my life as a single military officer did not afford the stability that pets should have. Though often, I helped my fellow officers pet-sit while they were deployed, and volunteered with ASPCA's if they were available in locations that I was stationed at. Now separated and settled here in Miami, I am a go-to overnight pet-sitter for friends(my house is very pet friendly!) and am looking forward to providing more care for our pets in our community!
