Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Brittany and I recently moved back home to Virginia, after living in Seattle for the past 4 years. I have three large dogs and one cat currently in my house and have grown up caring for animals. I have worked at three doggy daycares, managing one, so I have experience with all breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs. I enjoy giving baths and trimming nails after a nice, long, sometimes dirty walk. I have taken the canine CPR and first aid class twice and think it's a must have for any walker/sitter. My goal is to start training dogs and adding that to my list of services.This winter I will have open availability and would love to find new, fun places to adventure with your pups!

Brittany was great to work with and very professional. This was my first time using a service for my kitties. Previously I've always used a friend or family member. Brittany was able to answer any of my questions and make me more comfortable leaving my pets in the hands of a "stranger." As I predicted, she only saw primarily 2 of my kitties since the rest were hiding. I enjoyed the pictures she sent and the notes of reassurance that all was well. It made my vacation less stress free. I would highly recommend Brittany for your pets!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Brittany! She is absolutely wonderful. I work shift work and feel confident and comfortable when Brittany comes to walk my pupper mid-day. I know she gives my pup all of the TLC for me. Brittany has larger pups and I’ve never worried that she wouldn’t be able to handle my strong diva. She’s responsible, professional, and courteous. So happy I found her!

I’ve been extremely impressed by Brittany ever since she came to meet me and my pupper prior to working with us! I have a 60 pound rescue that I’ve worked through a lot with and knowing that I can trust my dog walker with my furbabe when working 12 hour shifts is imperative. Nola immediately warmed up to Brittany! Brittany has a lot of experience with pups and large dogs of her own, which is even more comforting. From the get-go, Brittany has been professional, genuine, and trustworthy. I highly recommend her!!

Brittany was exceptional with our dogs! Murphy is very cautious with new people, but he took to her right away. She wanted to know more about their personalities and was attuned to their behavior. I’m happy with Rover and delighted to have met Brittany!

I always want to know how they react to new people and dogs, that is the biggest question. Other than that, knowing if they have any quirks or fears is helpful. Such as men, people in hats, or loud noises and so on. The more information I have about your dogs personality, the more fun the walk or check-ins can be. I have a soft spot for bully breeds but I love all sizes and breeds.

A typical day

I am new to Chesterfield so I would love to explore parks in the area such as Pocahontas and any local dog parks. Barker Field or just a stroll around Maymont are my go to spots if you are closer to the city. I would also love to start doing half day trips to the James River if your dog likes the water and really needs to get that extra energy out once a week.
