Pet care experience
I've cared for animals since I was 6 yrs old. My parents bred miniature dochshunds and part of my responsibilities growing up was taking care of/training the puppies. In addition to that, at the age of 8, my parents bought a cockatiel named Iago who was solely my responsibility from the very first day we brought him home.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm not currently in a position to host pets in my present living situation. However, I am more than happy to travel to your home and stay for as long as you'd like, whether it be a house-sitting type of situation, or on a daily basis, or even several times a day to take care of your furry companion. I'm familiar with crate training, special dietary needs, administering most kinds of medication, doggie bathing, as well as a myriad of other pet care procedures.
Information Brittany V. would like to know about your pet
How, if at all, does your fur baby interact with other animals; specifically, with other dogs? How high or low would you consider their energy level? Will they run away if not in an enclosed area or on a leash when they go outside? This information will help me to plan for the time I will spend with your pooch.
A typical day
I have found that dogs who are given a purpose by challenging them to complete a task -- whether it be learning a new trick and thus being rewarded with either treats or lots of praise and affection, or playing a new game at mealtime such as a sort of 'search and rescue' mission to find their food; the reward obviously being DINNER! Hooray!-- seem to be much more relaxed and happy, in my own humble opinion. I also very much enjoy going for long walks, especially to the dog park. I have so much fun watching all the different kinds of dogs play together and observing how they interact with each other.
Services

Availability
I'm not currently working because the theater/play house I work for has taken an indefinite hiatus, thus leaving my schedule wide open for any time you or your pooch(es) may need me
