I have always believed that our dogs deserve to live a life just as fun and active as ours! To us, they are only here for a limited time but to them, we are their world! I've had these beliefs since I was a young girl. My dogs were my best friends so, naturally I have had over 20 years of experience with them. The older I got, the more interested I became in how to train dogs better. Having structure, practiced communication and routines allows you to have fun with your dog doing anything but, more importantly, it gives you and your pup confidence to explore and have a genuinely carefree time! Dog sitting for years now, I have experience with a vast array of dogs from all backgrounds. I enjoy hanging out with them, earning their trust, and getting to know their personalities. From little pups to senior pups, we always have a good time! About Me: Years ago when I moved to Grand Rapids for college, my dogs naturally stayed at home. After years of being without dogs daily, hanging out other people's pups is my solution! It is likely that your dog will get plenty of excersise- being a fitness instructor, I maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. It's important for humans and animals alike. Also as a photographer and small business owner I have the luxury of having a flexible schedule most weeks so working out availability is usually not difficult! Generally I like to focus on training consistency and manners with all dog I meet. I am also quite familiar with dogs who have special diets, oral medication and injectable medications. Personal Dog History: My first best friend was my dog Shane (Chihuahua) who ended up living until he was 19. He was bold, protective and extremely clever. I like to think I got my wit from him. While he was alive, my family also got a golden named Hannah- sweetest creature I've ever met. Her favorite hobbies were making snow angels and catching snowballs. When I got older and our pups passed, we got a pure bred german shepherd- Mia. Amazingly loving and mellow dog (age of 8 now) but she was a terror as a pup so she needed a lot of structure and training! This is when my family started to call me the "Dog Whisperer." We adopted her a friend when she was a little older- Milo. He is a 90 pound shepherd, doberman, pit and chihuahua mix... interesting I know! Yes, I did get him DNA tested to find out! He is such an amazing rescue pup! Full of life and love. He is known in his puppy circle as the Tail Wagging Champ. His hobbies include chasing his sister, eating carrots, cuddling and he is an agility training super star!
