Hi! I am new to the Ft. Collins area and love taking care of pets. I grew up on a ranch were we have cattle, horses, poultry of all types, dogs, cats, and rabbits. Needless to say, I love animals and am knowledgeable about their needs. I do realize each animal has their own personality and that is what makes taking care of them such a joy. I am willing to not only watch dogs, but other pets, including cats, some reptiles, and birds. I try to make each of them feel right at home. I love to take them for walks, groom them, and have no problem giving their medications. My current price includes 3 walks a day if needed. I offer both day and all night sitting. Price may fluctuate with your dogs needs. When you leave your animals with me you will know your pet is in good hands and you will be able to leave here worry free.
About this sitter:
I am currently in my sophomore year in college and have just moved to Ft. Collins with my Fiance. I grew up on a ranch were we raised Quarter horses, and of course had all of the animals; cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, and cattle. Because I grew up around all of these "critters" I am comfortable around them and understand their needs. I am respectful, knowledgeable, reliable, honest, and will always do my best to make both you and your dog/ pet feel safe and happy.
Why I love dog sitting
I have had a dog for as long as I can remember. When I was a few weeks old my dad bought me and Australian Cattle dog named "Jake". Jake and I grew up together and were best friends. Sadly, he passed away at thirteen due to old age. Not long after his death my family adopted a puppy who we call "pup pup". He is now six years old. As of right now, I currently do not have any dogs living with me, but soon hope to get a border collie puppy!
Meet my pets
As I mentioned I have just moved to Ft. Collins from my family's ranch. Right now I only have two horses with me. But back in my hometown I have several special pets such as my pet rooster named Keelar (it is a long story how he got his name!), a cat named Bandit, and a new baby chick named Cheapie Leapie (who is actually my sisters, but I claim to be his/her aunt ). I also have several other horses that I couldn't bring with me right away.
About my yard
I do not have a back yard, but we do have plenty of open space near us. If you are comfortable, I can also can take your dog with me to where my horses are currently kept (four miles away) where there is a large back yard - It is not fenced in but I do have a 40 ft. leash so I can let them romp, but are still controlled.
My experience administering medication
I am have no problem giving medication - including shots.
I am a sucker for the mid sized/ large dogs - the cattle dogs, border collies, labs, etc. But I like the others as well. I mainly would like to know what your dog's daily schedule consists of. While they are guests, I want to keep their routine the same to make them feel at home. I also need to know if they have any medical/ health issues, and if they are aggressive towards certain people. I would also appreciate it if I was informed of any bad habits.
Here's where we'll take our walks
There are many trails near by that we can go on, and there are also side walks that surround our quiet little neighborhood.
Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Any where in the house that your dogs chooses to sleep in - this includes the family room and my bedroom.
Time I'll spend with your dog
Your dog will be with me for most if not all of the day. The only time your animal will be left alone is if I need to do a quick errand that will only last twenty five minutes or less.
