I love combining my passion for dogs with my years of experience to provide high standards of care. I believe that your dog's well being and happiness are my top priority, and will work with you to make sure that we are a "good fit". That way, you can take your vacation without experiencing a minute of worry about your pet. I am definitely a "dog person" and am very good at reading body language and non verbal cues. I have fifteen years dog behavioral experience, including 13 years running my own pet sitting service. I have worked with all kinds of breeds and dog personalities, ranging from high drive working dogs (labs, cattle dogs, collies, and hounds) to big mellow Goldens to small companion dogs (terriers). So I can provide play and problem solving for dogs that need stimulation to keep from getting bored, walks and exercise for dogs that need it, and lots of snuggle time for those that just want a lap to sit in. I operate from a positive training model, and believe in giving your animal lots of opportunities to succeed. I currently have one small dog of my own, and he is very mellow and gets along well with other dogs. Because I work from home, I can give your pet one-on-one attention, and round the clock supervision. When I have to run errands I am typically gone no more than 1-2 hours. I have experience caring for older dogs, and am comfortable administering medications.
