Pet care experience
I am a pet-loving certified veterinary technician that wants to utilize my degree in a non-traditional way to your benefit: by taking care of your pets! With my hard earned medical training I can easily give medications and I know signs of adverse reactions. For this reason my rates are more than average, but for your elderly or ill pet I will provide the best care that is available. I'm also comfortable with reptiles, fish, large animals, rodents, snakes, pocket pets, and exotics (excepting birds other than chickens/ ducks). I can exercise horses- I grew up riding/ training them. I like hiking, going to the river with dogs, and just snuggling up on the couch with pets and giving them some love, too! I have references available upon request.

Brittany was nothing short of amazing !! To start out she asked great questions and because of her experience as a vet tech I immediately felt comfortable with her taking care of my senior dog. During my vacation my dog started having seizures, I was worried to say the least !! Brittany took my dog to the vet and provided me with continuous updates about my dog and her health !! My dog is doing ok right now. I give Brittany full credit for knowing what to do and communicating with me about my dogs well being !! I would recommend Brittany 100%. He knowledge and caring, I believe, saved my dogs life.

Before I stay with your dog, I like to know their age, any medical conditions or important history (such as ACL surgery, etc), any behavior things I need to be aware of (sock eaters, nervous urinators), your general routine, the name and address of your dogs veterinarian, as well as phone number. I also require a letter from you stating that in the case of an emergency (which has happened while I've been pet sitting), I can authorize treatment for your pet up to X amount of dollars (X being up to you), as well as a way to reach you, and a human emergency contact.
A typical day
With my furry friends that are physically able to handle it, I enjoy walks in parks or along trails near your house, open spaces, and if he/ she can physically handle it and the weather is nice, I love to go hiking. Dog parks are also a nice place, but I only take dogs that are used to going there, and that are very well trained and will listen to me if I take them to such a place.
