- Bindi is a 7 year, 8 mo. old Australian Cattle Dog in Tallahassee, FL
Bindi is a rescue; she spent the first 6 years of her life in a cage, breeding puppies. It took a little adjusting at first; she had to learn how to do pretty much everything—from going up and down the stairs to walking on a leash. Thankfully she has never shown any aggression, despite what she’s been through. She does, however, get anxiety during thunderstorms and when she hears other strange noises, but if you just pet her she’s fine. Bindi loves being around her mom, but she is also very independent—if something’s going on that she doesn’t like (loud people, another puppy nipping at her, etc.) she has no problem going in my room and taking a nap. Bindi is always open to making new friends when she meets a dog for the fisrt time—if they like her, then she usually likes them back. She has a few friends that she plays with, but mostly she just enjoys having the company of other dogs. She is completely housetrained and she knows how to “sit”, give you her “paw”, give you her “other paw” and how to “rollover.” Bindi is pretty much the perfect dog—she is extremely smart and lives to please so she is very obedient.
