I cannot begin to express the amount of disappointment my family faced when I had to stay home with my dog while my family went on vacation due to Brittany's lack of responsibility to just answer the door/text. Brittany and I agreed to meet at 5pm and I was running behind, so I texted her to let her know I was running behind. I never received a response. I got to her home and rang the doorbell, knocked on the door as hard as my knuckles would let me, texted her at the door, then proceeded to wait in my truck with my daughter and dog to make sure I gave her a full 15 minutes at the house. I didn’t know if she was in jail, or in the backyard, at a BBQ, who knows? When you don’t respond to multiple forms of communication, I can’t just wait forever, nor should I be expected to. One, just one form of communication, would have made this an entirely different review altogether. I got nothing. I eventually had to make a decision. The decision was, I would drive home and stay with the dog, and if Brittany called me before I got home, I'd turn around. I got home at 5:45 and kissed and hugged my family goodbye. They had hotel reservations and an itinerary to stick to. At this point, I had lost trust in Brittany’s ability to care for my dog. Brittany finally reached out to me at 6:03pm. She said sorry and explained that she had fallen asleep and that her phone randomly shuts off. She also stated, “I am home whenever you want to come by.” I calmly explained to her that her lack of responsibility to her business lead to my inability to trust her to care for my dog. Her response was “I am so sorry, I didn’t realize it was such a high stakes situation.” This naturally didn’t sit well with me. She further expressed that she wished she could do something, then asked: “Can you not get another flight?”. That she would expect me to change my plans for her lack of responsibility is sad. She didn’t stop there, but continued to argue with me, and I eventually had to just tell her I would no longer communicate with her. I told her I expected a full refund, and then, per her policy (I didn’t cancel three days prior to the delivery date) she was going to try and charge me $156.00 for me to cancel my vacation. Rover was great through all of this. They understood my situation and ensured I received all my money back. I was not going to pay someone to not do their job.

Brittany kept my 2 boys for day care and did a great job. I would definitely use her again
