I have always loved all types of dogs and take. Care of them though out my life. After growing up with several large dogs, I became a dog mom to Tess (Lab) and Tuck (Catahoula). My dogs are fairly young so I am used to high energy and lots of play time. My dogs visit the dog park and on trails frequently for exercise and socialization. While sometimes other dogs are intimidated by Tess' size, they find that she is very laid back and playful. My backyard is fully fenced and divided into a dog area, and people area (both large) and dogs can be separated into the two separate parts if there are concerns. Dogs have free range of the house, and fenced yard. We have a dog door that we teach visiting dogs to use. I have some dog beds and an overwhelming amount of toys. Additionally, I have taken college coursework studying dog behavior and communication, as I am a counselor with certification in Animal Assisted Interventions.
