Hi there! I’m Brittany, & 27 years old. Things I enjoy most in life include: nature, literature, and music, but I’m definitely an animal lover as well. Praise: Brittany is very friendly and responds to texts fairly quickly. She will send pictures if you ask (but only 1 per animal per drop-in?). Needs work on: Professionalism. Reasons: (1) She offered to take things off of Rover during our meet & greet - slightly sketchy (2) Came home to handfuls of hair coming off their backs as I pet them - this is uncommon if they're even pet for a few minutes every once in a while. Her last drop-in was the evening before. Not sure how long she actually stayed. Also my cat is now scared of the nerf styrofoam pellets she used to love chasing after (3) My electricity bill was 2.5x more expensive than the month before - she left almost every light on in the house when I got back the day after (in the afternoon), so I'm assuming that most of the lights were left on for the 3 weeks I was gone. (4) There was unknown cat kibble in their automatic feeders - despite the fact that there was dry food left, and I had another 2 bags of food in the pantry. I came home to them both being quite heftier than I had left them. (5) She didn't fill out a drop-in card through the app as required on her first drop-in, which is also slightly sus, but she filled them out after I had informed her of the requirement. I hate being a harsh reviewer considering I also provide services on Rover, but I felt the need to be honest to any prospective clients. There are plenty of other sitters who might be more dependable in the area. Will not be booking again.
I had concerns throughout our vacation as Brittany did not initiate any contact beyond responding (eventually) to my texts. We received no pictures or updates on our puppies beyond answers to direct questions. Our dogs seemed fine when we returned home, however we learned from 2 different neighbors the next day that they only saw her stay overnight (as we requested) the first and last nights and the days in between actually spent very little time at the house. We were obviously disappointed and upset to learn this as we specifically stated that our dogs did not like being left alone for long periods and liked a lot of attention. This is why we request house sitting rather than drop ins. It does explain the lack of communication, however. I wouldn’t recommend Brittany as I don’t believe she understands the mindset of pet owners or the importance of the parameters set during the meet and greet. Our dogs were fine, but it wasn’t the experience we wanted for them or paid for.

A typical day
I like to stay active so if your dog is energetic or enjoys the outdoors I would love to go on a long walk or jog, in addition to providing lots of affection while you’re away. If you’re comfortable, I have a vehicle I’m willing to transport your animal in so we can visit some cool parks, trails, etc. and send photos of our adventures. My roommate is an avid hiker & animal lover who would likely accompany these adventures to provide extra affection so long as that is okay with you.
