Pet care experience
I’m Brittani, and I am absolutely loving pet sitting so far! I’m about to start my FIFTH year on Rover and I have had a blast building relationships with a lot of really special cats and dogs. Here are some important points when it comes to working with me to arrange care for your dog/cat child: • While I am vaccinated, I am immunocompromised and suppressed, so yes, even in 2023 I would prefer not to do an in-person meet & greet if at all possible. If this is already a problem for you, please look for another sitter that will better meet your expectations during this scary time for the ill, disabled, and sick people of the world. •If you are worried about your pets’s compatibility with me without meeting prior, then it seems your pet requires a level of care that I am not best equipped to provide. • If your dog is a strong puller on the leash, I am not going to be the walker for you - sorry! I’m happy to play with your dog for exercise booked as a drop-in visit or in lieu of walking during a house sit.

Brittani was amazing!!!! The peace of mind we had on vacation knowing our pets were well taken care of was priceless. She was thoughtful, professional, kind and caring. Above and beyond what we could’ve hoped for and would recommend her to anyone!
Takes great care of our senior pets, has handled medications and specialty diets. Thanks Brittani!

For all types of visits, I do what the pet parents are expecting, and that is maintain their dog or cat's routine as best I can amidst the anxiety that many pets experience when mom or dad go away for a bit.

Information Brittani S. would like to know about your pet
Besides the basics like being fully aware of allergies and any medical issues, I want to know: • What their routine normally looks like - do they really count on their walk every day, or are they just as happy playing for exercise? •If they are fully housebroken. • If they chew shoes or have a history of eating things they're not supposed to. • What things you like to do to minimize anxiety if you've ever had to or, conversely if you’d like me to be the one to find that out for you. • Where the preferred sleep or hangout spots are (particularly important for cats). • If there are any aggression triggers (e.g. other dogs while leashed, food guarding behaviors, history of abuse) • I like to be as confident as possible that I won't spend my entire booking cleaning pees and poops and having my things ruined. I love dogs but Nikes are kind of expensive and if your dog is going to chew my LE's I need to know!
A typical day
I like early morning or late night walks in the summertime while on house sits and if it is too late for a walk because of the temperature, playing in a grassy backyard is something fun we can do instead. A lot of my doggies and kitties are Netflix bingers who go on walks, but play indoors is as an important part of bonding with my charges as all the snuggles.

I exclusively work as a pet sitter and walker so my schedule is pretty much 100% flexible at this point in time, but I don’t do early morning visits.
