As an only child in our home, our dog truly was my best friend at times. I trained him to play hide in seek in the hills behind our house so that I would have a play mate, and my love for dogs has continued throughout the years. In my professional work as a social worker working with at risk youth, I ran a therapeutic dog training program where we took service dogs in training into schools to work with youth who struggled with emotion regulation, social skills and self confidence. I now work in the schools but still seek opportunities to show youth the special bond and healing benefits of interacting with canine friends. I have two dogs of my own, a boxer and a chocolate lab. My husband and I enjoy taking them to open space parks, on walks around the neighborhood, and hiking out at Kenosha pass and other beautiful areas around the front range. We love Rover and use sitters on here frequently when we are out of town. I would love the opportunity to provide check ins and some in home (our home) dog sitting when possible.
