I just recently moved to Virginia Beach from Texas. There I lived on a farm for 8 years where I was taking care of 8 horses, 6 dogs and 7 cats. The amount of animals I was responsible for and the way of live on a farm means that I feel confident with medical issues also, such as changing bandages and administering medication. Before I moved to the farm in Texas I was an active foster for over 4 years and co-founder of a cat rescue ‘Classy Cats’. At the height of my foster days I totaled 27 cats once. This number sounds enormous but the count adds up quickly if you have several moms with their respective litter of kittens. My other volunteer experience is for 2 years with ‘IDEA’ service dog as a training support to those members training their own service dog. For a few years I was also breeding and showing Maine Coon cats of which I still the original stud today at the beautiful age of 13. I support both rescue and pure bred animals.
