Pet care experience
Had dogs in the house since age 10, cats for 5 years. I have taken care of neighbors', friends', and families' pets since I was a kid. I feed, walk, bathe, play, pick up poop, and clean up messes. I have experience administering inhalers, pills, and liquid medication (by mouth or in food), and am happy to learn how to do other medical treatments as needed. I love to get on the floor, get rowdy, run around, play, or just nap - whatever the animal likes to do. My cats have hugely different personalities - one is a fussy scaredy cat, another is a super friendly but aggressive player, and the last is a very calm old man. My dogs have been Australian shepherd mixes that love to herd and jump - so I can handle big, pushy dogs.

Brigitte is an animal lover and incredible care taker for the three cats she lives with. She is very responsible with animals and will watch your pet with as much love as if it were her own. She’s taken care of my cat several times while I was out of town and I always came home to find him happy and content. Highly recommend!

I have a car and can take your dog to a dog park. While I don't do boarding since I have 3 indoors cats, I have a large, fenced in yard (~6ft tall, wooden, with very narrow gaps smaller than any dog could squeeze through), if your pup needs a change of scenery. I am also happy to take care of some light cleaning - any mess your pet might make, but also vacuuming/sweeping hair/litter/etc. I would follow the rules and norms of your household - pet related and otherwise, like keeping the dog off the couch or the cat off the counters, no shoes in the house, etc. I can also stick to your regular schedule as much as possible, and send you pics/updates daily!

Let me know about your dog's general personality, energy level, risk of nipping/biting/clawing, favorite things to do, what commands they know, how they are with other animals, and if they require any special practices while on walks (like they need to cross the street/avoid other dogs, they are scared of busy streets, etc).
A typical day
I play tug of war, fetch, chase, rough house, etc. We can run and roll around in the grass together and snuggle up for a nap after. We can take walks through the neighborhood or head out to one of the local parks to see the sights and sniff the smells. I also enjoy practicing tricks/training with them - to be rewarded with treats and belly rubs!

Availability
I am currently between jobs while I reassess my aspirations, so I have a lot of time to spend with your pets - playing or just hanging out. I am currently available for drop in visits 9a-10p every day of the week. If okay with you, I am happy to hang out for a few hours, especially if you don't mind providing wifi access so I can get a little work done.
