I have taken care of animals and have been around them most of my life in one way or another. When I was younger, I grew up with cats and a best friend who had multiple dogs. When we weren't trying to save lost or hurt animals we were at the horse barn. There, I took western horse riding lessons and surrounded by all types of animals! Later, in and after college, I was a trail guide and a lope rider as well and have experience in horse care and grooming. I also worked at a pet store for a few years where I was around a variety of animals and learned how to properly care for animals and the specifics of animal husbandry. There, I helped match animals with their forever homes and in doing so learned about and experienced different breeds of dogs, cats, birds, chinchillas, ferrits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. Also in college at, Miami University of Ohio, I was a member of a Naturalist Club at the nearby state park that cared for and rehabilitated animals; including, deer, wild birds, wild cats. Since I moved to the Fresno area I have helped multiple litters of kittens and their moms get homes or to a safe no kill shelter. I also have rehabilitated a few kittens who were abandoned and in pretty bad shape. I have also returned multiple dogs back to their owners here in town, after seeing them roaming the streets with a collar. I also have experience in grooming dogs and cats as well and can give medication such as eye drops, applying topical ointment and oral medication or mixed into food. I last was a pet sitter here in Fresno about 4 years ago and am excited to start working with animals more frequently again. Due to a change in my profession I am now available to do what I love yet again! I truly love animals and hope to meet yours soon. Currently, I am working part time as a Product Photographer partially at home and on site. I also recently started working for myself selling items online from home. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to move my personal work around to accommodate your pet care needs. In your home, I will care for your pets with the utmost attention and respect as if they were my own. When it comes to pets, I am very observant and can easily figure out what their needs are and will make sure they're met and to communicate anything that arises. I will also be careful and respectful of your space and privacy if given the opportunity to care for your pet.
