In response to the 9.17.20 rating: the owner scheduled day care drop off for 9am and was running late because her puppy peed in their house. The owner claimed the pup was potty trained and well behaved. Upon arriving, the pup was very anxious. I took her on a walk to calm her down and as soon as we walked inside she ran all over the house and peed. We tried to play with her and calm her nerves but she kept running to the window and barking nonstop. After 2.5hrs of attempts to calm her down we reached out to the owner to provide and update and let her know her pup didn’t appear to be potty trained and was barking nonstop. We informed her it would be best if the pup could be picked up because we did not feel it was right to keep the dog in a situation where the pup was uncomfortable. This was the owners first claimed time on Rover and the pup had a history of separation anxiety according to the owner. We did what we thought was best as the owner signed up for one day of day care, not training.
