Pet care experience
As someone who has had pets all of my life and watched children for an extensive period of time, I'd say I'm a caretaker at heart! Our family has always had cats and/or dogs and I've acted as a primary caregiver to up to 5 pets in our household at once. Whenever I go back home to North Carolina, my mom's dogs (little white pups featured in most of my pics) know I'm going to walk them every day, and won't let me get away with not doing so! Having moved to Portland a few years ago, I've had the opportunity to watch friends' pets, though I'm not at a place in my life right now to have pets of my own. I am really missing the experience though so providing pet services is the perfect way for me to get in the animal time I so crave while also taking excellent care of your beloved creature(s)! I've had the most experience with cats and small to large dogs, though I would definitely be open to extra large dogs for drop-in visits. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet!

Bridget was a great cat sitter! She went above and beyond to make sure my cat Jack was healthy and happy. Not only did she spend time playing with Jack and brushing him every day, but she was also willing to administer his oral medication and sweep up the litter he kicked out of the litter box. She was very communicative both prior to my trip and while I was away. I would definitely recommend Bridget to anyone looking for a responsible pet sitter!
Bridget is a true dog lover and really caring person! She lived with me when she first moved to Portland and was an excellent caregiver to our large dog Woody during that time. She was always patient with him and made sure she understood our training philosophy so she could be consistent with our way of doing things. Our dog LOVES her and we are so grateful to have her now when we need a dog sitter for Woody!
Bridget is a very caring, compassionate person who LOVES pets. She has taken care of our cat numerous times while we've been on extended trips. I've always felt completely confident that our fur baby would receive the kind of attention and care that's required, with loads of kisses and playtime thrown in just for fun.

Important for me to know ahead of time is how your dog interacts with humans and other dogs/animals, specifically what I can expect when going out and about with them. Also, if your pet has any special needs, that will be important to know! I would also love to know what your animal likes and prefers (i.e. certain toys and/or walking routes) so I can make them feel as comfortable and happy as possible!
A typical day
I have two parks within walking distance from my house, and I love to go for walks, so this will help increase my daily exercise as well. I am less inclined to go to dog parks unless your dog is historically well-behaved at dog parks, especially with new people.

Availability
I am currently in online school with a few class meetings per week, so I can create my schedule around that. I am most available on weekends and I may be more available during certain times, but have set my calendar to 1 walk or drop-in per day to start (with the possibility of increasing on certain days when I have more availability).
