Pet care experience
I currently have 2 dogs, Poppy and Ginny. I recently lost my nearly 18-year old basset hound, Daisy. I obviously have plenty of experience with special needs and elderly dogs from having her for more than half of my life. *I am currently working with a territorial new rescue so I won’t be taking boarding requests at this time* I also have Poppy, whom I rescued in August. She is a little chihuahua Jack Russell mix who loves all other dogs. She hopes to be able to play with some new friends soon. Ginny is a puppy rescued in March. She has lots of energy and loves to play tug of war with anyone; she also enjoys snuggling up with furry friends for a nap. I have experience dog-sitting for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with special needs. I am a teacher, so I have summers and vacations off, and plenty of time on weekends to spend with pups.

She was absolutely amazing and made us feel completely comfortable. Updating us constantly with photos of what are beautiful Riley was up to through her stay. Will definitely have her watch Riley again in the future.
I left my dog Lucy with Bridget while I attended a wedding away from home. Leading up to the stay, Bridget was very communicative and even offered to drop Lucy off at our hotel after the wedding so that we could fully enjoy the reception. Lucy's stay was great! She got to play with several dogs in a large fenced in yard, which I'm sure was a nice change from her usual city environment. Bridget sent me numerous pictures while she was watching Lucy, which I loved because I could relax knowing that Lucy was doing well. I will definitely contact Bridget the next time I am in the area and need a dog sitter!
Bridget is a great match for our dog zoey. We received pictures throughout the day and zoey was clearly enjoying herself. She had a blast with Bridget's dogs as well. We will definitely send zoey again!
With school vacation week coming up, and me not quite feeling like 'mom of the year', I was kind of in a stuck spot--wanted to go away, but not sure of how to entertain a 5 year old Pug when we were gone. I am SO GRATEFUL that I found Bridget. I booked a short-notice weekend on Cape Cod with the family, and Bridget welcomed Pugsley with open arms! I wish I could post a picture of all the fun that P had at Bridget's house. He snuggled with the other dogs, he slept in her landscape planters, he zoomed around her fenced in back yard. We had a true weekend away, and we LOVED getting the photo updates from Bridget. Bridget truly loves dogs, and Pugsley loved Bridget and her home away from home.

I would like to know what makes a dog happy and what makes them nervous. It would be good to know how comfortable they are in the car or around other animals. I also want to know if I can give them treats :) I love all dogs, no exceptions. No breed preferences, although bassets are near and dear to my heart due to having had Daisy for more than half of my life. My mother has a basset hound as well.
A typical day
I love to walk dogs wherever they are most comfortable. I often take mine to Wachusett Mountain or in my neighborhood, where there are lots of fields and woods to romp in.
