Insured/Bonded boarder/Sitter/walkr

Pet care experience

Thanks for coming by! I am so happy you are here and it’s a pleasure to meet you! I apologize in advance for the length of my profile. My goal is to answer as many of the questions that you may have in advance before you hit the contact me button. I try to be as detailed as possible and transparent in my profile about myself and prices. smoke free alcohol free home with one dog. In shorter trips if your dog cannot be around other dogs for my boarding option, I created an option of a “pet free” pet sitting experience. I can make accommodations and make sure that your dog is the only one at my home or your home, if you have a dog that does not get along with other dogs it’s not a problem here at Barking Pawz LLC. Please let me know and I’ll go over details with you and rates If this is your preference. I always have a crate free experience, however if your pet likes a crate you may bring one with you. If your pet can not be alone ever at all even for a few minutes that is not a problem at all! Just let me know, and if I have an appointment or something, I have an employee on my LLC who helps me if you would like you don’t have to worry about your pet being alone in a strange place. This is something you can discuss with me upon contacting me and I’ll go over it with you. To make things easier as I do, have clients from around an hour away radius, I do have two locations for drop off, one in Greene and one on Endicott. My family owns a golf course in Greene, so whatever is more convenient for you, I can board at either place. I do petsitting not boarding with a lot of dogs, so it’s always a personalized experience. For walks, and drop in visits, the time is always an hour with me as well. Rover sitters charge extra for a full hour. I charge a flat rate of 5$ extra for any additional pets but only charging up to one more so if you have 3-4 Pets it’s still just 5$ more per visit. If further away or more than one visit, Please book a a drop in visit for a meet and greet. First one is free if you are within 15 miles radius. Additional meet and greets are booked as drop in visits. I’ll do as many as you like in order to feel confident with me.

Bridget did a great job meeting a dog that is very nervous. She spent the time to make the dog feel comfortable.

Bridget did an amazing job with Gemma & Jax especially on short notice (which I don’t recommend but she made it work!!). Everyone was fed & got plenty of great play time with her in the yard. I got picture updates & could tell they were very happy with her!! Big doggy smiles!! Could not have gone better!! Highly recommend Bridget!!

Safety, trust & environment

A little bit about the most important part of the services I offer and why for your pet I may be a good choice. As you may know, Safety and trust are the most important factors when choosing a petsitter. You want to make sure they have the adequate experience and knowledge to work for you. There is also something else that is just as important. Having an insured and bonded petsitter is something that is very important when you are looking for someone new to take care of your beloved pets. The reason for this is that do you want someone coming into your home that is not bonded to be there? When you hire an insured Petsitting service, they have paid a lot of money into that insurance policy. That means they are invested in providing quality pet care as they have invested into their business. Having an insured petsitter makes sure that the Rover guarantee is also valid. If someone is uninsured and walking dogs and going into peoples homes it can turn into a hot mess if something goes wrong. What if something gets broken of value? What if your petsitter accidentally breaks your door locks and security system? Rover will not cover these expenses. Also, they don’t likely cover an uninsured dog walker or petsitter to begin with. They only cover those who cover themselves per their terms of service. When you choose me as your pet care provider, you don’t have to worry about these things. I have never had to use my insurance policy because I am very careful and only stay in approved areas of the house. The guest room, kitchen, living room and approved bathroom and guest areas of the house. I never enter bedrooms that are not the ones I am told to sleep with and only go into areas that your pets go into. You do not have to worry that I do not have the resources to cover your pets emergency care if that arises. I have a LLC with business insurance and always make sure I have the available assets to handle this type of situation if it ever came up.

Information Bridget S. would like to know about your pet

It is important for an owner to let a pet sitter know about any allergies a pet has. Triggers are also good to know. I need to know if they are neutered or spayed and if they are not, that does not bother me. I just need to know medication and health issues in advance. Communication is key to having a good persisting/training experience. I also need to know all pets that are going to be staying in the home so I can add them to my insurance. I need to know/ and it won’t deter me if you are honest, if your pet has any anxiety or aggression with strangers so we can do more meet and greets and trial sitting runs before your trip. Communication with each other is key to a successful stay. If you have never hired a petsitter before, I will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. Please make sure that your pets are fully vaccinated and that are shots are up to date. I hope to have answered any questions you may have. If you have any more I am always available to chat and speak to you. I am very friendly and outgoing. You can be confident that I will treat your pet with all the love and attention that I give my own and take my job seriously as this is my only job. I always give my number so that I am easy to reach and if you use Apple products we can FaceTime. We can share location and I will do anything I can to make your time with me as safe and communicative as possible.

A typical day

A typical day would depend on which service you book. I have a lot of experience. My sister owned Bark City Doggy Daycare from 2019-2021 but due to the pandemic it closed down. During this time, I learned how to work with dogs in a group dynamic as well as basic commands and training techniques. I was a dog daycare attendant there and worked with mostly the small dogs and dogs who were not able to play with large groups. I would at times be able to socialize dogs who had zero prior socialization and get them to the point they could either be in the small dog group with me or the larger group play area with other attendants. I got a lot of experience in socializing dogs bc of this. I am a also a very experienced dog walker. I am trained to use all types of collars including prong and e collars. Whatever your preferred and utilized methods are, I will follow your instructions to the T. I am also an American kennel club evaluator. I can teach Canine Good Citizen, Star Puppy Program and the 2 levels above CGC as well as trick testing. I know how to use E-collars appropriately in the event that is what you use for training or fencing. I strive to do my absolute best to follow your exact schedule and regimen to make your pets stay with me as seamlessly easy as possible. Some things I can do if you like are trick training sessions. I have taught a lot of dogs tricks so if that’s something you are interested in just ask. I know how to set up Dog obstacle courses, training on what you wish, both cat and dog activities. I do sniffari walks(these are where the dog leads you and goes where he wishes to go and it’s a slow paced walk with them sniffing a lot of the trees, grass and just enjoying the walk. I give only approved treats and food by owner. I never give human food to pets as it can be toxic to them or may be allergic. Your pet will never be given anything without your express consent. I follow whatever walking and food schedule that you do. I always make sure that the harness and collar are secured before walks. I also ask what triggers your pet has on walks so I can be mindful of this. I work with both, cats and dogs equally and I love both species just the same.

I am very flexible. I do not have other jobs besides Rover at the moment, so there is nothing that will keep me away for any extended period of time. If you have many animals, I stop charging at 4 pets for boarding and house sitting. I have done hundreds of jobs for my LLC here on Rover and Wag and on my own. Safety is my priority and making sure you have a five star experience. I am an extremely effective communicator and send plenty of updates. I do boarding and house sitting equally, and i have done over 200 jobs on here with many repeat clients.
