Both work from home=Lots of walks!

Pet care experience

I'm your dog's new best friend! I have been pet sitting for ten years and am experienced with many different types of breeds (Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Brussels Griffins, German Shepherds, Giant Schnauzers, Greyhounds, Malteses, Mastiffs, Siberian Huskies, Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Pugs, Yorkies, etc). My favorite breed is rescue! My own dogs have been to puppy classes, basic obedience classes and advanced obedience classes taught by certified pet dog trainers in positive reinforcement methods. My dogs have passed on due to old age which is why I love to get my doggy fix by walking and pet sitting. Your dog will be treated like my own and get lots of exercise and love. I walk about an hour a day on my neighborhood's many trails, and I LOVE having a dog to walk with, which is why I started this business. I figured if I'm already out walking everyday, I might as well take a dog with me who would appreciate the time outside! My motto is a tired dog is the happiest dog!

Our dog loved her stay! Bridget was so loving to our dog! We got lots of updates and pictures, she took care of Bella like she was her own. I highly recommend them!

Information Bridget L. would like to know about your pet

We love big dogs and we cannot lie! We accept any dog breeds but we are partial to big dog breeds and northern dog breeds (we used to own huskies), and greyhounds!

A typical day

We will walk throughout my neighborhood in St. John’s Lake which has many trails. Your dog will be treated (usually with their own kibble to avoid tummy upsets) for pottying outside, coming when called, sitting when asked and displaying desirable behaviors such as ignoring the cat and being calm around my toddler. Most dogs that come to visit fall in LOVE with my daughter because of how many kibbles they get just from being around her and being calm. We try to associate from the moment that your dog arrives that the baby = treats! It’s not unusual for us to feed your dog their meals throughout the day with their own kibble as positive reinforcement treat training. For more information on our training philosophy, please see any book by Ian Dunbar.
