Pet care experience
I have a lot of experience with working around reactive pets, no matter the size, so I don’t scare easily. I currently work at an animal shelter and continue to learn on a daily basis how to read different animals and their behaviors. With this opportunity, I’ve noticed that I’ve learned how to be a better petsitter and can offer a different kind of experience than maybe some other sitters on Rover.

Bridget did an amazing job! She kept in touch with us throughout the time we were away, so we felt confident that our cat and fish were taken care of. We loved the photos and videos she shared of her drop-in visits and the report cards with summaries of the visit were perfect to help us feel comfortable that everything was going well. Our cat warmed up to her right away and we could tell he was happy to have a friend visit during the week. Bridget wanted to make sure the cat’s schedule and habits were kept as close to normal as possible and we really appreciated that. She learned how to use our automated feeder so the cat had supplemental meals between visits. She cleaned up messes the cat made and we found the house in good shape. We would recommend her and plan to ask her to pet sit for us again! She is very nice and follows instructions well.
Bridget is a pro! She's is thorough, reliable, and very communicative. I appreciated her care and thoughtful questions during the meet-and-greet, as well as the adorable photos and clear updates while I was gone. Glad to have found my go-to pet sitter, which gives me a newfound peace of mind when I have to leave town!
Bridget was great with my cat and dog! She stayed the night and ensured both my pets were taken care of, especially my dog who requires more attention. She kept me updated on them and sent pictures. Would definitely use her as a sitter again!

Any medical condition or issue that an animal might have that the owner has noticed is important for me to know as a pet sitter, especially if I want to give them the best quality of care during our visits
A typical day
We all have some energy we need to get out, and it’s nice to have a companion to do that with. Ideally, I prefer the animals I watch to get as much exercise as possible depending on their situation/surrounding areas (i.e. parks, trials, neighborhood streets, enclosed backyard) for their physical and mental/wellbeing. I noticed my rescue dog does better with his separation anxiety when we leave him after our walks

Availability
I spend my mornings, afternoons, and evenings, taking care of my animals on a daily basis. I’ve always taken care of, gotten homes for, & taken in stray animals. Even during my time spent out of the house, I find myself trying to better understand animals and their behavior so I can be of more help to them. I don’t think pet care will never not be a part of my routine
