FULL TIME Stay At Home Dog Mom

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Brianna. Dog care is my job exclusively. Rover takes 20% so if you wish to book off Rover and pay a slightly cheaper rate please let me know. I am providing a "home away from home" dog care experience where your fur baby will be treated with tentative and sensitive care in a warm, inviting safe home. I spoil my own dog which I will do the same to yours! A little bit about me below. I moved to the Myrtle Grove area December of 2022 from New York. I had to leave my job to be able to move so right now I am a stay-at-home dog mom and have had the pleasure (and time) to explore the coastal parks and beaches Wilmington has to offer. While exploring I quickly realized there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood! I know when I am traveling out of town, I want my fur baby to feel like he is staying at home and not a motel. Hopefully I can relieve some stress from the local dog parents here in Wilmington and be that care giver they can rely on. I own a three-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi which I have had and cared for since he was 7.5 weeks old. You can check him out in my pictures to see some of our adventures. We are partners in crime. With my sensitive and tentative care giving to my own dog Marv, I can be certain your pet will be met with the same care. If you would like to learn more about me and my dog Marv, please check out our social media below. My dogs Instagram is @marvthewetbandit My personal Instagram @bbrianna_lazzaro

Brianna took excellent care of my little fur baby while we were out of town. He stayed at her home with her dog, Marve, and another small dog. We had a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure all the dogs got along. Sure enough, they were the 3 amigos. My pooch enjoyed multiple walks and snuggles everyday. I appreciate all the photo updates. I will definitely be using Brianna in the future when we need dog boarding.

Brianna was absolutely amazing. She watched Miller for a week while we were on vacation. This was the first time he’s stayed long term with someone other than family, and she made sure he felt comfortable the entire time. We got lots of updates and photos/videos every day. We can’t recommend her enough and definitely plan to use her for dog sitting in the future.

Brianna is wonderful! She watched our senior dog while we were out of town on vacation. She went above and beyond (daily medication administration, as well as watering our plants and helping with garbage & recycling cans too)! She provided extremely thorough reviews of each visit, and plenty of photos and videos, which helped to ease my anxiety of leaving our baby at home. You can tell she truly cares about what she does, and I felt totally comfortable with her. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to working with her again.

Safety, trust & environment

In my townhome I have a small fenced in backyard that is all small pebbles no grass and a gated large front porch. Dogs are always kept on leash when off of the property. In my neighborhood I have a fenced in dog park as well as a soccer field. I have a 50-foot leash to use on any dogs who need more activity and want to play fetch on the field. The dog park is never used so we will go in if no one is there. I do not like to interact the dogs with other dogs on our walks. If parent approved trips were scheduled, we usually go to the beach or Veterans Park to hit the paved trail. I have a leash that hooks into the seatbelt for your pup to have safe travels as well as a backseat cover in the car for extra safety. For all overnight boarding I ask you to provide your dogs bed to ensure they feel at home. For all types of care, I ask dogs will be brought with their food and bowls as well as any other special treats or supplements they are used to getting. They should also be brought with their leash (and harness if you use one). Dogs get dirty, if you can bring their brush that would be fantastic! I use a furminator brush on my dog, however I know pups like their own brush. Lastly, if your pup tends to get dirty ears I have aloe ear wipes but if you have ear wash please bring too!

Information Brianna L. would like to know about your pet

Where does your dog sleep? Is your dog scared of certain people or sounds? Can you dog share its favorite toy or bone? Has your dog ever become territorial over food? Have they had issues with humping other dogs? Does your dog have any problems walking on leash? Are they taking medication? Are they allergic to certain foods? Can they be left alone in the house for 1-2 hours with another dog? What is your vet in case of an emergency?

A typical day

A typical care day will of course rely on your little pup. I will care exclusively to your dogs needs. However, an average day can look like waking up at 7AM and letting them outback to pee or poop or just get some fresh air. Immediately they are fed their breakfast along with any vitamins and supplements your dog may be taking. I give Marvie carrots for his teeth to stay healthy and if your dog enjoys them it will receive a few pieces of carrots a day too! We then will go on our morning walk which consists of going to the club house where they get a small treat and where I grab my coffee and mail. We continue the walk to the fenced in dog park where we play with tennis balls for 30 minutes. Or just hang. Depends on the dog. We continue the walk towards the front of the community, crossing a couple retention ponds and enjoying the view and sun along the way. We then loop back home. The morning walk is long and nice so dogs are ready to calm down once back inside where I’ll get some housework done. Then around 11ish we head back out again and this time we walk towards the back of the neighborhood to have some fun in the field and play fetch! Of course, on leash (50 foot). After running them hard, it’s the perfect time to then enjoy a nice relaxing lunch on the shaded front porch where the dogs take their naps and people watch.I have dog beds, blankets and a water bowl set out. We usually hang here for two hours depending on the weather. After lunch we will either go back to the field to play fetch, take another casual walk around the neighborhood, or stay inside and snuggle and play. Really depends on the dog/weather. An afternoon siesta usually takes place between 3 PM - 5 PM (depending on the day). The dogs get fed dinner between 5:30-6. They have plenty of chances for pee and poop breaks in the backyard throughout the day but I do like taking them on walks. So if they have the energy they are each given a night walk individually. It’s nice to give each dog their own walk at night. And if your pup isn’t feeling the walk, they go out back right before bedtime. My dog sleeps in his dog bed on the floor in our bedroom. Your dog will do the same. Please bring their bed/blankets/crate so they feel at home. I have additional blankets, extra bowls that I setup on the floor around my home when I have a dog staying with me. Everything is cleaned before and after a visit. If you have a smaller dog, elderly dog or less active dog I have several “brain” puzzles for your dogs to do over the day. I can use their kibble or parent approved healthy treats. (Boiled chicken, raw carrots, fresh blueberries). What's Included? -dog blankets -food and water bowls -Size friendly bene bones -tennis balls, frisbee for fetch -Soft toys/puzzles -homemade nutritious treats -leash -poop bags -paw sanitizer -snuggles on sofa -TLC
