When I come to your home, you can expect me to love your babies as much as you do! I will meet all play, potty and feeding requirements set out as well as any scritches, snuggle sessions and medical needs as asked. I do have experience with cat insulin injections as well as oral syringe medications.

Information Brianna H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if any behavioral or health concerns before arrival. I'm confident in dogs who are anxious or reactive, but I'd love for you to be as specific as possible. I also generally bring training treats, so please let me know if they are not allowed to have treats or have dietary restrictions. I'd also love to know if your pups know basic commands and how you use them (for instance, we say "down" for laying down and "off" for when they need to get off the counter of if they've jumped on someone).

A typical day

I'm really confident in basic behavioral training, so if you want your dog to master their sit, look, or shake; kennel comfort; or place training, I'd love to bring some training treats and a clicker to work with them on that! Otherwise, I love walks, snuggles, and general play. I also have a dog bicycle attachment if you're interested in seeing if your dog is compatible with running alongside! I suggest 3-4 walks next to the bike for comfort before I'll ride on it.

Pet care experience

Rover Hi, I’m Bri and I can’t wait to meet your pet! I’m a current pet owner to two blue heeler mixes (Minerva, 4.5; Raven 3) and a cat (Little Girl, 14). Before these fuzzball, I grew up in a house hold that always had a cat and dog. I’m comfortable with big dogs, puppies, high energy dogs, anxious/reactive* dogs (I suggest in-home drop in appointments before scheduling walks for these cases), and elderly/post-surgery/rehab pups. I walk my dogs on harnesses and use a waist leash and would prefer to do the same with yours (I have a few sizes if you don’t have a harness and are comfortable with me walking your dog on one.) l also have a dog clip bike attachment if your dog loves to run and would be interested in learning how to walk alongside, then later run with the bike. *Note on reactivity: Though not a trainer, I have experience with dogs who easily surpass their thresholds. We’ve exclusively done science-backed reward-based/positive reinforcement training through several sessions at Knox Canine Training, behavioral classes & agility through Zoom Room Dog Training, worked one-on-one with a couple in-home trainers, and extensively trained alongside the Zak George YouTube channel. Even with all this, Minerva has struggled with barrier reactivity. When she can’t get to THE THING (bicyclist/other dog/runner/etc.) because she’s on leash, in a car, or behind a fence or window, her anxiety takes her very quickly over her threshold. To an outsider looking in, this looks frightening (lunging, baring teeth, scary barking, etc.). I say all this because I want you to know that if you are dealing with similar behaviors, I’m not scared of your dog. I’m more than willing to sit by their kennel until they calm down, play touch or the name game until they’re focused, or just work on basic commands in the living room to get them physically and mentally stimulated when you can’t be home. If we only make it half way down the block and back because you’re working on leash pulling and want them to sit every time they tug, I’m down. I firmly believe reactive dogs aren’t bad dogs and they just need to be cared for differently.

Brianna was so patient and kind to our spicy cat. She took really good care of all of them. Would definitely hire her again.

Bri has watched my dogs several times. She is so good with them and so patient. She is always one of the first people I called to ask for help when I need it for my two dogs.
