We'll Care Your Pup Just Like Ours!

Pet care experience

Our names are Bree and Todd, and we’ve had dogs our whole lives. We moved to Portland recently, and we realized how challenging it can be to find a good dog sitter. Because we feel “Dog Blessed” in our lives, we wanted to open our home up to others who may need to find a quality person to care for their pups when they are away. As a dog sitter and freelancer with a flexible work-from-home schedule, I have plenty of time to spend with your dog! I became a dog sitter because I love animals (particularly dogs) have lots of space for them to stay. When your dog stays with me, they’ll have an abundance of love and care. My partner Todd also loves pups and we like going on long dog walks. Todd is a professor at the local university, and splits his time between the university and home. Todd’s been around dogs all his life, and he loves walking pups almost as much as I do. We also have two dogs. My dog is named Rocky, and he sleeps most of the day. Todd’s dog is named Country Sammy, and he is a retired Greyhound. Both dogs are around five and a half years old, and they are both extremely friendly. They told me they can’t wait to meet your dog! Todd and I have experience with a variety of breeds and mixed breeds. I’m from Fargo, North Dakota, and I always thought the huskies there were beautiful. Both Todd and I have been around all types of dogs, and we have experience taking care of Labradors, Retrievers, Pits, Terriers, and Hounds. We have watched several pets for our friends, family, and neighbors. When I was a child, we adopted pets from shelters. When I’m not dog sitting or working, I love going to the gym — I usually go on weekdays. When the weather is nice, I often skip the gym and go hiking near Multnomah Falls. I moved to Portland somewhat recently, and I fell in love with the outdoors. I also attend festivals with my partner — we’re both into the arts and live music (and food). I also throw darts. You wouldn’t guess it, but I’m a pretty decent shot. I have lived in North Dakota, South Carolina, and Oregon. I have two teenage daughters — my oldest is a vet tech and my youngest is going to be a senior in high school next year. Since I left North Dakota, I’ve worked from home for different technology companies. In my spare time, I’m learning to read and write computer code. Recently, I fell in love with mountain hiking. Going up rugged mountain trails is exhilarating to me.

Brianna and Todd are just fantastic dog sitters and people in general! They have watched Sasha for me while I’ve gone out of town, and I always know that when my dog is with them, she’s in excellent hands! Brianna sends pics everyday, and always keeps me updated. Thank you guys so much!

Information Brianna G. would like to know about your pet

Before staying with us, it is important to us that dogs are friendly and potty trained. (We understand occasional accidents may happen, and that’s no big deal.) Also, providing contact information in case there is an emergency is a must too. We also would love to know their regular schedule and where they enjoy walking.

A typical day

When your pups stay with us, they will go on up to three walks around our neighborhood per day (depending on the weather). There are three different paths we take, and they range from 0.25-1.5 miles. I live in a three-story home, and we have a fenced backyard. We live right outside of the Montavilla neighborhood off a quiet, well-maintained street. When we go for walks, there are several different paths we will take, so your dog won’t get bored with the scenery. What we love the most about our neighborhood is that it is relaxed. People are friendly, warm, and accepting. We’ve been known to take dogs to the farmer’s markets on weekends, if the owner allows.
