All About That Puppy Love
Pet care experience
I am a definite lover of animals, especially the puppy kind - I often refer to all dogs as puppies because that's what they all are at heart. I currently have a 3 year old 60lb lap dog (in her eyes) named Sedona who is a German Shepard/Blue Heeler/Mastiff mix. She is spayed and completely caught up on her shots. I trained her from a puppy to follow typical commands (sit, lay, stay, etc.) and a few interesting ones (please, tell me, smile) and she can walk without a leash. She loves dogs, cats, babies, play time, belly rubs, kisses, running, chasing, cuddling... it would be easier to list the things she doesn't like - baths. My newest loves are cats, as my wife of 2 years brought one into our marriage, and we adopted another while we were overseas in Kuwait. Both are male, Kevin and Ice, and are both neutered and caught up on shots. It's very slow going, but we are making headway with training them too - they can almost always sit on command (for a treat, obviously... nothing is free with them) and stand on their hind legs. I'm very patient with all pups and love meeting and taking care of new furry friends - I hope you let me take care of yours!
Reviews
Great sitter!
Very impressed with Brian and his wife. I felt comfortable leaving my dog Olaf with them. My dog was happy to see me when I picked him up. Brian sent several texts with pictures while I was gone. Very easy to work with and accommodating if I needed to make minor changes. I hope my dog really was a good boy and I would definitely board my dog with him again. Thanks so much.
Good communication, very flexible, and best of all both dogs seemed comfortable and happy when I picked them up. Brian sent a bunch of pictures of the boys napping and enjoying his backyard. Would recommend!
Brian did a great job with 2 big dogs who are very energetic!!! Boys were happy when we got home.

MUST be good with/won't eat cats, as there are 2 in my household MUST be house trained Do they have any nervous habits? Do they chew? Are they comfortable around large numbers of other dogs (in case we make a visit to the dog park)?
A typical day
I live at the beginning of a dead-end street with a round-trip walk/run distance of 1 mile. The rest of the neighborhood is very residential and pet-friendly so my route can vary if your pup needs more. I have a huge fenced-in back yard that can definitely accommodate a game of fetch or frisbee if that's what your pup is into. I regularly take my own pup to the dog park and would definitely include any pup staying with us - as long as that's something they enjoy. Unless instructed that they are not allowed by you, animals are welcome on our couches and our bed for cuddles and petting if they want attention, and if not, we have a large dog bed they can lounge on. The house is littered with animal toys and my wife's hair ties - the cats keep stealing them - so there will be absolutely no shortage of things to play with, including another puppy and 2 cats.
