My Labrador is my only child.

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs. Love them all. I have had 3 black labs, a shar-pei, a chow/chihuahua mix, a 2 german shepard and 3 mutts. Asha Beyonce is currently my one and only labrador child. I have a big backyard and dog run fully fenced. I work from home so I am available full time to watch your dog. I can teach puppies the basics. I have an automatic ball thrower for hours of fun and exercise. I work from home so I am available full time to watch your dog. My job only requires minimal attention to a computer so my days are spent supervising and playing with my dog. My dog and dogs I care for are allowed in and out of the house as they please. The yard is fully fenced, 6 ft high, 80 ft dog run. They are within earshot of me when they are outside and I have cameras recording in the yard. Dogs in my care will always be safe and supervised. I get nervous if I don't have eyes on my own dog every 10 minutes.

Took very good care of my 18 year old elderly cocker spaniel. I haven’t had anyone watch her in years because she’s old and it’s hard to find kind, patient people who I can trust with her! I trusted Brian and my Sophie girl came back home happy! She seemed like she had a lot of fun and was tuckered out when we got home! He even sent pictures of her every morning when she woke up :) I’ll be having him look after her if I ever can’t take her with me again! Thanks Brian!

Baby stayed with Brian while I was away and had a great time with him and his pack. So even though my dog was definitely happy to see me I could tell that he missed being with the group. Thanks for taking such good care of him!

I only watch non-aggressive dogs. It is of the utmost importance to me that the dogs under my care are safe at all times. I will assess your dog's temperament during the Meet and Greet. It's best to exercise your dog before the Meet and Greet to make them less excited in an exciting situation. You will need to be able to demonstrate that your dog can calm down and listen to you in a new, exciting environment. Your dog will need to be comfortable meeting new dogs throughout their stay. Dogs come and go while your dog is here and they cannot be aggressive with ANY of them. Dogs that are overly dominant don't tend to play well with other dogs. If your dog is overly dominant, consider boarding them in an environment with no other dogs. If your dog becomes aggressive with ANY of the other boarded dogs they will be isolated for the remainder of their stay and not invited to return. Your dog needs to demonstrate an amount of training, control, and etiquette when around other dogs. Boarded dogs need to be able to listen to me and calm down fairly quickly. If they are not used to the stimulation of 3 to 4 other dogs, they might not be a good candidate for boarding. This especially applies to puppies. Cleanup fees will be added for excessive mess in the house from dogs that are not properly housebroken. If your dog is excessively destructive to my personal property, I will expect you to replace the value of what is destroyed. Adult dogs are expected to be able to walk on a LOOSE leash with little pulling. Puppies should be LEASHBROKEN. Not perfect on a leash but used to it and accepting it. Consider boarding your dog in an environment without other dogs around if your dog doesn't meet these criteria. The amount of leash training speaks volumes about how well your dog will listen to me as your substitute. It is very possible I will test your dog's leash skills during the Meet and Greet. In some instances, after your dog's first stay, I may request they complete a training class and present a training certificate before returning for another stay. All dogs must be current on all required vaccinations. I reserve the right to terminate my services at any time.

A typical day

The dogs in my care will play in a large backyard/inside with many toys treats and games. My dog loves only to fetch the ball so we have an automatic ball launcher that we play with for hours every day. Tug of war, a kiddie pool, plenty of birds to chase. I exercise my dog at 3-30 minute sessions a day in the yard.
