Happy dog, happy life.

Pet care experience

I am a lifetime owner of dogs and currently own a dog training business, "Happy Dog Happy Life." My 12 years of experience range from shelter settings to the private sector. In any setting, I work with clients to quickly and efficiently create long-lasting positive change for them and their dog. We often work together to improve walking and greeting manners, modify playing tendencies, decrease poor barking habits, adjust aggressive behavior, increase the confidence of a fearful dog, and much more. If you would like to inquire about training options please feel free to contact me for more details. On a personal note, my female black lab (Bailey) and I enjoy working with the Haven Humane Society in the K-9 Ambassador program. In this program, Bailey and I visit schools, public events, various camps, and even birthday parties looking to connect with others, share dog tips, and educate the public on the positive sides of pet ownership.

Brian is awesome! I was really nervous about leaving my dog with someone I didn't know and already trust. My pup is not the easiest to take care of and still has a lot of learning to do - but he came home better behaved than when I left him after just a few days! Would definitely recommend Brian to anyone looking for someone they can trust to take good care of their dog!

Brian is fantastic! He is wonderful with dogs and really understands them. Our dogs came home better behaved than when we left then! We are going to have Brian work with us so we can really enjoy the dogs more - he gave us a few simple behaviors and they really make a world of difference!

Brian took care of my dog Finnegan while i was abroad for two weeks. I was very nervous being away from Finn for so long, but Brian made me feel very confident and comfortable and assured me he was in good hands. Brian's experience being a dog trainer was a good plus too as Finn can be a handful. He updated me at least once every two days while i was away, and sent me fun pictures as well as a short description of what he was up to. I highly recommend Brian - his expertise in dog behavior and training is a definite plus.

Brian is so wonderful! I had a training session with him for my newly adopted dog and he fixed so many behavioral issues in two hours and also helped me correct my older dog. He also watched him for a 4-day weekend and put my mind at ease the entire time I was gone with updates, photos, and reassurance that my dog was being a good boy. He came back tired and better behaved than when I dropped him off. I cannot recommend Brian enough and feel so lucky to have found him! Thank you Brian!

Information Brian G. would like to know about your pet

It is helpful and much appreciated if you would share your dog's behavioral traits, energy level, any specific needs, circumstances that may excite or frighten your dog, and your dog's favorite activities.

A typical day

I like to focus on outdoor activities, where dogs are able to use their primal instincts and expend their energy in a positive manner. Some example locations include the local neighborhood trail, Coronado dog beach, Ocean beach dog beach, and Kearny Mesa dog park. In cases where clients are looking for a training specific stay, behavior modification activities are preformed throughout the day.
