UPDATE: We've had some changes in our day-to-day availability. At this time, no one is home during business hours on Mondays. We can negotiate a stay that overlaps on a Monday sometimes. Please know that Mondays will be marked out on our calendar. Just let us know via message if your pup's stay will include a Monday to discuss the fit. We are four dog lovers: two elementary age boys and two of their grown ups. We are currently without any four legged friends and want to be your pet's family when you are away or need an extra hand. Our goal is to provide the best care for your dog's individual needs and preferences, and we believe it's all about the right match We have a fully fenced yard, and a dog friendly neighborhood for walks and outings. Northeast Ballard, west of Phinney Ridge with dog parks nearby, and walking distance to Greenlake Park. During a normal school/work week, there are adults and children in and out of the home all day. The maximum time that no one is home for a walk is 6 hours, which is a lot longer than our previous availability. Most days the maximum amount of time out of the house without our guest dog is 4 hours. We keep a flock of chickens in a handbuilt palace. If your dog(s) will be bothered by the birds in sight- albeit inaccessible- we might not be the ideal host for you. Since the kids are with their dad at their other dog loving home every other week-end, there are options for hosting dogs that prefer to keep their distance from little ones. Generally, we are as homebody types as possible given that we are family of 4 active humans going to work and school! We love our visiting pups to distraction and have enjoyed the flexibility that comes with Rover to dote on them. If your furry friend is staying with us, we have the time and energy to provide the best care and be a home away from home. We ask that dogs visit our home for a meet and greet prior to the first time your pet will spend the night in our care. Let's discuss your dog's care needs to see if it's a good fit!
