Caring Professional Dog Lover

Pet care experience

I have worked in the pet care industry all my adult life, I met my wife at a doggie daycare so it comes as no surprise my house is always full of dogs. Our home is full of love of both the two and four legged kind. We have two children and two dogs, our dogs have regularly attended daycare and enjoy new friends of all shapes and sizes. We have a large yard that we supervise playful interaction in. The dogs have access to a shaded dog yard 24 hours a day, which they can access by the dog door whenever they like. About this sitter: Fun dog loving family. Boarding, kennel and daycare consultant. We enjoy hiking and outdoor sports. Why I love dog sitting I started out working in a kennel when I was a teenager, and knew then dogs would be my life. At 24 I accepted my first management position at Baltimore's #1 cage-free daycare. Meet my pets We have two, very, dog wise cats. I haven't brought home a dog that they can't handle yet. About my yard We live on a large lot. A large portion of this is our back yard which is surrounded by a 6ft fence. The shaded dog yard wraps around the side of the house. This leaves the rest of the yard open to use as needed, the dogs go into the big yard a few times a day to run and play freely under our supervision. My experience administering medication Both of us are able and have experience with all types of medications, including insulin.

I was referred to Pet Paws by a friend of a friend because I didn't have anyone reliable enough to watch my dog for me when I went out of town for a long weekend. When I came back I could tell my dog was taken care of very well. The next time I leave on a trip I'll be sure to use them again.

Brian has been caring for my dog, Salty, for many years. When I go out of town I know I can count on him and his wife to give her the same loving care I do. A few months back I was unexpectedly sent to the hospital, I called Brian the following morning to ask if he could just check on Salty and feed her. He not only checked on Salty, but called and let me know he took her to his house, along with her favorite blanket and was keeping her there until I returned home, which turned out to be three days later. The day I returned home Salty was there waiting for me when my daughter dropped me off, and Brian had even given her a bath. Words can not explain the love this family has for not only dogs but every living thing.

Information Brian D. would like to know about your pet

We are open to all breeds and sizes. We do however ask your dog be child and kitty friendly. Both children are good with dogs, our oldest has a special way with senior dogs. My wife and I have experience introducing shy/timid dogs and don't mind spending the extra time taking it slow to make sure your dog has a positive boarding experience with our family. Our cat's are very dog savvy.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks With such a large yard and friends to play with most people do not feel a need for walks. However, my family enjoys hiking and if cleared by you we don't mind if your pet joins. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We have couches and beds, though a lot of them seem to like to lay on the cool tile floors, especially in our kitchen. Time I'll spend with your dog Someone is in our home at all times. In the rare event we must all leave, the dogs will be put up according to your direction.
