- Claire is a 6 year, 8 mo. old Beagle & Whippet in Baltimore, MD
Claire is a whippet/beagle mix. I adopted her from a dog rescue in June 2015. She loves people! She can be extremely deceiving when meeting new people; you think she is a ball of energy, but after about an hour you realize her favorite pastime is sleeping. She loves to take walks (about 30 minutes). If you're 2 floors away and she hears that leash jingle she comes charging through the house, but her most favorite activity outside of the house is taking a ride. She is a jumper. She loves to jump on new people, sniff them and lick them. It's kind of her greeting. If you're able to get down to her height, she loves to give hugs and lick you in the ear...
- Sex: Female
- Age: 6 years, 8 mo. old
- Weight: 40 lbs
- Breed: Beagle & Whippet
- Tracking Chip: Yes
- Spayed: Yes
- House Trained: Yes
Very well house trained and will usually alert you to when she has to go out, either with a whine or acting excited. When you ask her, if she wants to go out or use the bathroom she will show it with excitement if she needs to go out.
- Gets along with children: Yes
As long as they aren't rough with her. She is kind of muscular, so she probably wouldn't be the best around smaller children, due to her wanting to jump on people and hug them.
- Gets along with other dogs: Yes
She doesn't make good first impressive. But after about a day or so, she usually warms up.
- Gets along with cats: Yes
She's only seen a few cats, so I have limited judgment. She hasn't really had any problems with so far.
