Home full time. Love walks & dogs!

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs and cats. And love their companionship. Unfortunately I have to travel pretty nonstop for about 4 months out of the year, and almost no solution would be fair to a fur friend. I volunteer at the LASPCA which you would think might quiet the fomo, but instead it only makes me want a dog or a cat to curl up with more. I sincerely would love to host your dog. I love walking around New Orleans. I always see something new. Walking around with a dog and seeing the city a little through their eyes can be even more rewarding. If your dogs active, I can match it. If you've got a senior dog, we can lounge and take it easy. I love to be informed about a pets personality/needs, and perfectly meet expectations. I would be so delighted to help you out!

I have used Brett a couple times now and she has been simply a very easy and reliable human to work with. Reese definitely enjoys her company and attached to her quickly. Highly recommend!

Brett was so awesome with my anxious, old pup. Will definitely book her again. 10/10!

Brett was fantastic! Very easy to reach and treated my baby like her own. We definitely will reach back out in the future. Thank you!

Brett was exactly what we needed. Our girls fell in love with her with no reservation.

I have baby gates I put up and section off rooms if I have dogs from different households meeting for the first time. That way it's not too overwhelming for the new dog. I also usually go on a walk with a new dog almost immediately. That way we can bond over adventure and burn off a little energy/anxiety. This usually makes home feel more like home when we return. Theres also a courtyard I use. It's a nice place to be off leash with no opportunity for escape. Sometimes it's nice just to get to work on my bike or plants, and a pup can sniff around or sunbathe.

Information Brett B. would like to know about your pet

Agression with humans/animals is the biggest. but general pet personality is good to know. Energy needs, attachment, anxiety, etc. Commands are nice to know I've got space in my heart and interest for all breeds!

A typical day

Dogs that are high energy inspire me. I like sprinting/agility training. But I gotta love a good snuggle dog too. New Orleans is a wonderful place to take a long walk.

I maybe think about the pet I'm hosting too much. But also, most pets I host aren't repeats. Though I've loved some repeats! I know the pet doesnt know my home and my rhythms, and so I dont want to leave them alone very long. .also, I love having a dog around, that's why I found rover. So I want to show them a good time.
