Hi! I have recently graduated college in the Rochester area with a B.A. in geology and am back in my hometown for a couple years before pursuing vet school hoping to make a career out of my love for dogs! I have had 2 dogs in my lifetime, a pitbull while growing up as a kid, Bayley, and shortly after that a jack russell terrier named Duke. Duke first stayed with my dad and I during my last 2 years of high school. I brought him up with me to college as his solo owner once I started undergrad, knowing my dad had worked too many hours to take care of a dog on his own, but mainly because I needed an excuse to have a dog with me at college! Having had experience in taking care of dogs both large and small, I am happy to accept requests for any and all breeds for any services requested. I currently live alone with no small children to worry about your pup being around, and have a 1/2 acre unfenced backyard with a leash posted in the middle for the dog to explore the whole yard without worry of them getting lost. Your pup will have access to the backyard space with your express permission only, and would only be used under direct supervision to play fetch, walk around, or any other backyard activities they may like. I also live a 1 minute drive away from Ithaca College, and often take pets there to hike around the natural reserve and run around with a bit more freedom within the caged fields and stadiums on campus (again, only with expressed permission to do so, I respect any and all individual preferences you may have for you companion!) I work full-time at home so if your furry friend is staying at my place, they'll have company most hours of the day, or all upon request. I am able to provide walking services up to 5 times a day for 30 minute walks, both in town and through a hiking trail right behind my house (as my land borders Buttermilk Falls State Park). I have a very open schedule and provide a very flexible, easygoing mindset for any requests you may have. As someone who has owned and cared for pets most of my life, my main goal from this is to hang out with dogs! I have over 3 years experience in providing pet care and dog walking services for others and have worked with dogs both large and small, as well as with and without behavioral issues they may be experiencing.
