Hello! I'm a writer, editor, and lifelong dog lover with five years of experience on Rover and even more experience caring for my friends' and family's animals. I'd love to care for your pup and make them feel at ease whether it's for an afternoon or a week plus. I grew up with pets and have always wanted a dog of my own, but I'm not quite ready to make the commitment in case my employment situation changes—but for now I'm working from home, and I sit for Rover simply because I love to have dogs around as much as possible! I live in a spacious apartment in Prospect Heights with my husband, James, who loves pups as much as I do. While you're away, I'll be sure to give your dog as much love, exercise, care, and attention as they they get from you. I spend a lot of time in Prospect Park so you can count on lots of walks and playtime there. I have great instincts and intuition when it comes to animals, and I have plenty of experience caring for dogs who have aggressive behavior and/or anxiety. I also have experience with senior dogs and can administer injections. I hope to get a chance to meet you and your pup!

I had to leave town for a long weekend and my elderly dog got very ill the night before. I was really nervous about leaving him, especially since Brenna and her husband hadn’t ever met him before, but even before I dropped him off they made me feel so comfortable. They kept me updated all weekend on his condition, kept him cool during the hot summer, managed his medicine doses, and even were totally fine with him staying another night when my flight was delayed! When I finally picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and in way better condition than when I dropped him off! I’m so, so happy and relieved, and would absolutely recommend Brenna to anyone. She was amazing.
Brenna and James did such a great job with our pup. We were gone for 6 nights and they sent lovely pictures that showed how relaxed and comfortable our girl was. They even dropped her off back at home when we returned! Also, for those with dogs who have injectable meds - this was their first time doing injections and they nailed it! Not one bad shot and our pup came home as healthy and happy as she was when we dropped her off. Highly recommend!
Brenna and her husband James did a fantastic job of looking after Chopo over a 4-day weekend. I normally have someone stay with him in our place, since he knows the lay of the land and I wasn't sure how he'd fair in a new setting, but by all the photo and video accounts, he had a great time. Brenna and James were very prompt with any communication and even did us the favor of dropping him off at our place (we live nearby) in the evening, as we came home late that night. We came home to a very relaxed and happy pup!

A typical day

We love to spend hours outdoors and to hang out with our pup guests at our local dog-friendly bars. We are careful to ensure that our home is a safe and welcoming environment for all dogs.
