As an experienced dog parent myself (I've raised a big sweetheart Great Dane from a small puppy and have always had special dogs in my family), I'm prepared to provide excellent and tender care for your furry family member, big or small. I also have 6 years of professional experience administering basic veterinary care to multiple species.

I am super grateful that Brendan was able to walk Charlie last minute, as my planned walker canceled last minute. This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little worried and unsure about the process. I loved that Brendan messaged me to set up a phone call to determine if there were any special requests or info he needed to know about Charlie. As the previous reviewer stated, Brendan does have a calm & welcoming energy. Charlie had no problem leaving with Brendan, which did surprise me. Brendan was super professional, friendly and thorough. I also appreciated the after walk summary and feedback. I will definitely book with Brendan again and highly recommend him!!
Brendan is honestly an animal whisperer. He has a gentle, calm, and patient approach with them that makes animals trust him so easily. For instance, my own dog is quite wary and sometimes even aggressive towards men in particular. However, upon meeting Brendan, my dog was able to open up to him because Brendan was able to read his body language. It was truly a sight to behold! He is well-versed in taking care of animals of all kinds. Besides being a fantastic pet-parent (to his Great Dane and his cat(s), he also has some veterinary care experience, as he works with some non-domesticated animals- which is great to have as an animal caretaker!

A typical day
My favorite sort of day with a dog typically involves a healthy amount of one-on-one play time coupled with walks (as long a walk as your dog needs!). If they have favorite toys or games, those will be heavily featured! Wherever we go on walks, I tend to prefer a nice nearby park and quiet sidewalks.

Availability
I have a decent amount of flexibility in my schedule (currently a graduate student), which enables me to be available for your pet during the week and weekend. I’m most often available for walks and home visits after 2pm on certain weekdays and during the evening, and am able to pet-sit in the evenings, weekends, and overnight as well.
