Pet care experience
Hey, I’m Brendan, a recent college graduate who has lots of dog-sitting and home-watching experience from working for relatives and family friends on many occasions over the past several years. I’m recovering from a long-term illness and recent surgery (in Oct 2019), and trying to get stronger and healthier every day. Unfortunately I'm unable to work full-time at the moment, so taking care of dogs and homes is a great and natural way for me to earn some money while physically improving at the same time. I don't have any dogs myself, but I'm used to helping take care of our family's cats, and in the past I've cared for dogs of many sizes and ages. My schedule is pretty open, so I’m very flexible with what works best for you. Please contact me with any questions, and I'm looking forward to meeting your dog or dogs!

I would highly recommend Brendan! He was always at our house on time and did a great job communicating and letting us know how the walk went. Since it was winter, he asked if he could walk our puppy in the basement if she was too cold outside, which was a great idea! We will definitey contact Brendan whenever we need a dog walker.

So I can get a sense of how we would work together, I'd like to meet your dog before accepting any reservations. If your dog is relatively large/stubborn/energetic, I might not feel comfortable working with them, at least for a while, since I'm getting back in shape and recovering from surgery.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on long walks when I get the chance, since I don't have one at home to take care of. If you're comfortable with the idea of me driving your dog, every now and then I'd like to take them somewhere like a park or forest preserve trail for a more scenic walk than the typical one around the block.
