Pet care experience
Will care for dogs and cats! I love pets of all shapes, sizes, and species. I spent most of my life caring for rescued dogs and cats through fostering and volunteering, so I'm very familiar with handling pets across all personalities. While I have experience working with many dog breeds, I have cared and worked mostly with Shiba Inus, Golden/Lab Retrievers, Border Collies, and Corgis. I can work with your dog on leash training and basic commands as well.

Brenda is amazing with animals. I have two german shepherds and one of them has a lot of social anxiety especially when it comes to strangers. Typically Minnie is not good with new people and tends to hide behind me when meeting someone new. It wasn’t the case with Brenda which was extremely surprising. I’ve left Minnie and TJ with Brenda multiple times and have been satisfied with each time she has sat them. I’m starting to think that my dogs like her more than me at this point.
Brenda is an amazing dog caregiver. She takes care of my puppies when I am on business travel or vacation. Not only do my dogs love her, but she also loves my dogs. It's so rare to find someone who is truly passionate about animals and their wellbeing. I 100% recommend Brenda!!

I have an apartment and easy access to outdoor spaces for quick potty breaks and walks. My living environment is calm and quiet, allowing your pet to have a nice relaxing stay. My home is also puppy / kitten-proof! While I do take both dogs and cats, I will not take both at the same time (unless from the same household) to ensure the safety of pets.

Let me know your companion's usual schedule, diet, and habits. If your dog needs medication, please let me know that as well. Also, it would be important to know if your dog is ok socializing with other dogs, etc. My preference for breeds are Shiba Inus, Golden/Lab Retrievers, Border Collies, and Corgis, as I have the most experience caring for these breeds. However, I am also familiar with other breeds - let me know beforehand!
A typical day
There many great places to walk about and I will take your dog out to explore new sights and smells around my neighborhood. We also have a regular dog group that meets up and play! I'm also experienced in basic obedience and will work to strengthen basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. I plan to utilize fun games to both physically and mentally stimulate your furry companion.

I have a flexible work schedule as a graduate student, which means I will be able to adapt to different schedules and focus on your pet's needs. I do plan out my weekly schedules in advanced, so would love to discuss your pet's needs early to ensure their maximum care! I am also pretty active and love any chance to go outside, so I will make sure your pet gets plenty of sunshine during their stay.
