Pet care experience
Hi, I'm a lifelong dog lover and live close to Davis Square in Somerville. I love all kinds of dogs and was involved in dog rescue for about 10 years. I have a lot of experience looking after dogs in my home, including fostering dogs and taking care of many dogs over the years who I have come to love as my own. I love all kinds of dogs but have a special place in my heart for Chinese Crested dogs. In the past year I have had several doggie guests (a very sweet Beagle, an adorable Shih Tzu toy thief, a playful Spaniel mix and a feisty Jack Russell terrier mix), who have all been just wonderful. I do not have a dog of my own currently so your dog, or dogs, will be completely spoiled! I generally have one or two dogs at a time, but occasionally will take more on holidays, or for short periods, when I know the dogs well and know they will do well with other dogs. I am currently only taking dogs up to 40lbs, so your smaller dog(s) won't be overwhelmed by big dogs. Most of the dogs who stay with me are in the 8-30lb range.

Duncan had another great stay with Brenda. She took great care of him and kept him busy as usual.
Our first time using Rover, and we are super happy to have found Brenda! She's gentle and kind, and our dog loved her. She has a great backyard for him to run around in. She gave me daily updates with photos while I was away, which was great. We will be using her again!
Brenda was fantastic! She took great care of our little, 7 month old golden doodle. We got wonderful pictures everyday of her playing in the park with other dogs and of her snoozing on the couch. I can't recommend Brenda enough. We will definitely use her again in the future.
Brenda took an excellent care of Kik. He is very old at 15 and had some special needs, and Brenda was understanding and made his stay very comfortable. She tended to all of Kik's needs and made sure he was well taken care of. You could tell that Brenda genuinely loved dogs based on how she treated them. Thank you Brenda! I was able to travel worry-free, thanks to you.

The most important question for me is whether or not they get along with other dogs. I usually have at least one other dog staying. I also live in an urban area where I meet people walking their dogs all the time. After that I would like to know whether the dog is on any medication or needs any kind of special care like pee pads or being prevented from jumping. When booking a stay it's important to tell me the drop off and pick up times so that I know when to expect you!
A typical day
I live in the Davis Square area, very close to the Minuteman bike path. I take the dogs in my care for walks there daily. We will also go to Danehy Park or Fresh Pond which are both about a 10-15 minute drive from my house.
