energetic, loving and flexible!

Pet care experience

I’m exceptionally patient and loving, so animals feel comfortable, safe, and happy when they’re with me. I feel lucky to be able to spend time with dogs--as an owner and a pet-sitter--I strive to make each moment a wonderful experience for my canine clients and my Charlie, a Chihuahua/Pom mix. My first priority is to spend tons of time outside, because it’s good for all of us! I love going to the dog park and running around, playing Frisbee, and getting as much fresh air, sunshine, and exercise as the pups can stand. I’m quite energetic! I also love running, so in addition to regular walks and playtime, dogs in need of additional exercise will get to join me. Collecting vinyls is another hobby, and my husband and I love playing with the our pup and cuddling up as a family while we watch a good film. Other than giving a puppy a good belly rub, I think that laughter and making new friends are the best things in life! Having recently made the move back to the Westerwood neighborhood in Greensboro, NC from San Diego, CA, this area is very dog friendly so therell be no shortage of dogs in the neighborhood we can greet along the way on our walks! With 10+ years of experience working one-on-one with dogs, I’m fully prepared for any eventuality, and will always be reliable, trustworthy, and competent. I work with all breeds and sizes up to about 80 lbs., since I have the most experience with small and medium dogs. Most of all, I’m patient and compassionate so I’m able to form a bond with dogs of any temperament. Our family can’t wait to welcome yours into our home! Your best friend will be given the utmost love and care.

My pup Otley has a new best friend. Brenda was very professional, promptly on time, and wonderful with my dog. I will absolutely use her services in the future.

Brenda is amazing! My dogs loved her and it was evident in the photos she sent us. She spent the weekend in our home with them and everything was clean when we came home. We will definitely use her again!

Brenda was fantastic! She helped us out last minute when our dog couldn’t be boarded because of a last minute case of Giardia. She took great care of him, sending us plenty of pictures during how well he was getting on. Plus she was able to give him his meds (no easy feat) to ensure he got better quickly. I would highly recommend her!

Brenda did a fantastic job house sitting our two pups! They warmed up very quickly to her. She was very communicative and also sent a bunch of pictures & videos of the dogs while house sitting. I’d definitely recommend using her for watching your pups!!

Information Brenda L. would like to know about your pet

At our meet-and-greet, we’ll start in a neutral location or whatever is most convenient, and if boarding introduce Charlie and your pup. The following are a few things I’d like to know about your pet for any future bookings: What does your day look like? When does your dog wake, eat, exercise, and sleep? Are they leash trained? How often does she poop? How does he/she get along with others? What’s his/her experience with dog parks or the dog beach and other dogs? What’s his/her health like? Does he/she have any medical conditions? Take medication? Food allergies? Any favorites that will help them feel relaxed and at home with us? Are there treats you want to send along? Games they love? During the stay, I’ll send updates with photos and ask any questions that come up while you’re away. You’ll have nothing to worry about :)

A typical day

We’ll take walks at intervals throughout the day, based on your schedule and working around my own work/life schedule and any dog-sitting I do for pups who aren’t staying overnight. Between the dog park and the neighborhood, the dogs will get plenty of outdoor hours. In lazy moments, we’ll get snuggles and naps, enjoy treats, scratch shoulders and rub bellies and some sunbathing in the backyard. Every day will be a new adventure!
