Cozy House for Pup Visitors!

Pet care experience

Growing up on a farm, I developed a huge love for animals from a very early age—and that’s only grown with age! I love being able to provide animals with the love and happiness they need to thrive, so being a dog sitter is just a dream come true for me. I don’t think there’s anything like having a dog in our lives, so it’s always been my goal to give back to animals however I could. I also know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so I’m here to make that time as easy as possible! I have tons of experience taking care of animals, so your dogs will be in good hands no matter what. I’ve been a long-time pet sitter, and have worked mostly with celebrity clients. I’ve always loved taking care of animals, and am now in a great position to expand my clientele! In addition to sitting, I’ve also done my fair share of rescuing, and consider it a very big part of my work and life. I have nine dogs of my own, and many of them are rescues! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. If your pup is staying with me, they’ll be welcomed into a very dog-friendly household! I live in North Hollywood in a large and spacious house. Most importantly, however, there are lots of friends to keep us company. In addition to me and my dogs, my business partner and lifelong friend Sheila will be assisting with all things care-related! She’s been with me for over 6 years and has been an amazing presence. I’m also committed to caring for your pups just as you would care for them at home, which means plenty of free space to roam around as well as never being crated (unless specifically requested). It’s just my duty to make sure your pups are as happy as can be!

Brenda did a great job taking care of our two dogs for four days. They had a fun time playing with the other dogs there and hanging out in the fenced-in yard. When we picked them up they seemed very happy and relaxed!

Brenda and Sheila were very accommodating. These wonderful energetic ladies babysit my Bernese/German Shepherd mix, Nicki, for 3 days. They were sure to send me daily pictures and updates. Definitely kept my mind at ease. If I am in need of another babysitter while in LA area they are sure to be at the top of my list.

Brenda and Sheila have been sitting my puppy, Skye ,for about 5 months now , and I’ve found them to be my saviors ! Brenda gives Skye personal attention as well as the other furry friends . She treats them all as if they’re her own ! Skye is a baby Jack Russell; Brenda and Sheila both assure her safety amongst the other pups . As a pet owner , i couldn’t ask for a better sitter !

I have been working with Sheila and Brenda for a very long time. Brenda's compassion for her own pets and just animals in general are inexplicably genuine and the definition of care. Sheila is a very kind and warm person -- a little spunky too! She's such a terrific. The 2 of these ladies are energetic and reliable, also kind and very responsible. I've known them both for over 20 years, and I have never been disappointed with their service! Highly recommend both of these ladies!!

Information Brenda L. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

My day starts off with the morning breakfast at around 8:30am. At least 3 days a week I take the pups to the dog park to meet some new friends and get some playtime in outdoors. When we get back from there, we may nap or play in the yard, depending on what our hearts’ desires are! When we’re spending time at home, I also like to play my guitar and sing to the pups that are under my care. Dinner is at 4:30pm and bedtime is around 8pm, but between then is as much puppy love and playtime as we can stand. Most of the dogs sleep in my bedroom with me, but I have plenty of doggie beds in the kitchen and living room as well.
