I treat dogs how I treat my 1 year old Nieces, with love and a stern talking when they don't listen. I don't have a dog but a lot of my friends do which is amazin because they always seem to love me. I hang out with dogs more than my "dawgs". Open 3 out of 7 of the days, and open mornings. I'll just do whatever the dog wants, I'll adapt to them and whatever their cool self wants to do. I actually try to listen to them and what they want as best as I could. it's hot right now so maybe take them somewhere with grass so they don't burn there little paws when walking. Finally find a dog beach. Make some friends. or not. Whatever he feels comfortable doing.
