I have 1 year of experience working in an animal shelter environment, cleaning, feeding, and caring for dogs, ranging from small to large dogs, puppies to seniors. Along with these duties, I have also walked, interacted, and socialized with shelter dogs to get them more comfortable in the shelter. My other duties at the shelter included helping adopters find a dog that fits their lifestyle by telling them the characteristics of certain types of dog breeds so they know the usual behavior of the dogs they are looking at. Another part of my job was assisting the public with finding and identifying their lost dogs and making sure they are returned to the owner safely. I also have personal experience of owning approximately 15 or more animals in my lifetime, ranging between cats, dogs, fish, birds, and reptiles.
