I have over 8 years of animal care experience and the culmination of both paid and inter/volunteer work has made me extremely confident in my care skills. I am currently serving the Bay Area from Pittsburg to San Francisco. I am a fairly laid back pet sitter who is currently moving forward to obtain my degree in zoology and animal behavior. I am very comfortable with pets large and haven't met a pet that doesn't like me yet. I am also a former track and field athlete so if you are looking for an active sitter who can hike and run with your dog I may be a good bet! The scope of my experience included intern and volunteer work at The ARC Center SF Zoo, The Elephant Barn Oakland Zoo, and a short term at Sulfur Creek animal sanctuary in Hayward. I then had the great opportunity to spend 4 years working at UC Berkeley Labs as a Senior Animal Tech, and then a short stint at Providence vet Hospital in Alameda. I am comfortable working with Domestic Pets and, Exotics ranging from Parrots to some species of fish. I have a comfort and skill in giving oral and injected medication and, can provide ear cleaning and nail trimming.
