I had the privilege of growing up with dogs in each of my parents' homes. We had at least two dogs at each house. As a member of the household it was important for us to each do our part, including the care of our pets. I was always feeding them, walking them, bathing them and caring for their wellbeing. I don't have much experience with puppies as we always adopted dogs that were always around 3 years or older. I also have experience watching my neighbor's dog and cat when I was in high school whenever they took vacations. I believe pets to be a big part of life. Right now I can't have a dog of my own, but I enjoy caring for these wonderful beings and experiencing the calm and joy they bring.
